Main Responsibilities
Respond to trade or guest requests and needs professionally, timely and with passion
Handle trade and guest complaints in a polite and highly professional manner
Meet with VIP or top media guests in order to meet build relationship
Manage and maintain a positive rapport and relationship with agencies, vendors or suppliers
To be the guardian and specialist of the Brand Communication Manual and provide guidance, advise on all brand related matters
Ensure clear understanding of brand guidelines or rules by internal and external stakeholders
Act as brand guardian for the hotel by constant monitoring and enforcing of brand guidelines
Keep up to date with the local and regional advertisement environment, particularly in the hotel, travel, luxury retail, fashion, beauty and luxury lifestyle sector
Monitor and report any advertisement campaigns from competitors
Provide feedback and recommendation on advertisements
Requirements
Senior School qualifications or equivalent is mandatory
Degree or Higher National Diploma equivalent in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management is mandatory
Minimum 3 years of experience working in a 5-star hotel or luxury retail environment in a key marketing position

POSITION SUMMARY Assists the property’s Banquets/Catering Department in the property’s reactive and proactive sales efforts with a focus on outdoor catering business, catering accounts and groups. The position contributes to achieving revenue goals and the financial performance of the department. Assists in implementing the brand’s service strategy and applicable brand initiatives in all aspects of the sales process. Position supports the administrative processes associated with the pre-event and post-event phases of an event and the associated transitions between all event phases. Assists the seamless turnover from sales to operations and back to sales while consistently delivering a high level of service. Ensures the team maximizes revenue opportunities by up-selling and accurately forecasting all events. CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience - High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience in the sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area. OR - 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; no work experience required. - Qatar market sales experience is an advantage. CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Maximizing Revenue & Managing Profitability - Solicits/books local catering business. - Assists in completing and distributing catering sales revenue and operation budgets and revenue forecasting. - Tracks booking goals on a weekly basis and compiles incentive reports for distribution to catering leaders. - Ensures that booking guidelines are followed and that catering leaders are maximizing space and revenue. - Supports management team in creating and implementing a catering sales/marketing plan addressing revenue, customers and market. Managing Sales Activities - Assists with selling, implementation and follow-through of catering promotions. - Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence). - Sells menu items, beverages, wines, and facilities including destination services, business center, and audio-visual services. - Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency of how and when to impose deadlines and delegate tasks. - Ensures catering leaders are generating lost business reports. - Manages the catering sales efforts for the property including local and group/catering business. - Distributes catering contracts. - Understands competitor offerings and effectively sells against them. Providing Exceptional Customer Service - Interacts effectively with guests/clients, sales and kitchen, vendors, competitors, local community, catering associations and other property departments in order to ensure guest satisfaction. - Supports company’s customer service standards and property’s brand standards. - Participates in and practices daily service basics of the brand. - Executes exemplary customer service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty by assisting the customer and ensuring their satisfaction before and during their program/event. - Serves the customer by understanding their needs and recommending the appropriate features and services that best meet their needs and exceed their expectations, while building a relationship and loyalty to the company. - Gains understanding of the property’s primary target customer and service expectations; serves the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solution both prior to, and during the program/event. Ideally, you’ll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we’re looking for:
Minimum two years of experience in a similar capacity in a luxury hotel and/or resort
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work well with a diverse team

About the Role
To establish rapport and credibility so as to be able to assist customers in purchasing the company’s product range whilst at the same time maintaining the company’s standard in terms of merchandising and stock availability so as to reach sales target as set out by the company.
Key Accountabilities:
Commercial
Promote the sales of products by spotting and seizing sales opportunities, offering alternatives solutions to problems and suggesting add on sales in order to achieve the established sales target.
Suggest means of sale improvement to his supervisor as well as determining “slow moving” or “non-selling” items and suggesting sales action.
Maintain a fully display of products via merchandising methods as laid down by the company.
Remain aware of developments in the local market by being attentive, to information given by customers, to advertising and promotions in the media and also by making scheduled market visits so as to be able to maintain the company’s competitive advantage and to properly advise customers.
Keep an update on changes in the company’s products range such as new items or changes in existing items as well as informing the Sales Manager of any customer’s problems/comments on the product range or gaps in the range.
Operational
Conduct a daily detailed inspection of his assigned area so as to review the availability and positioning of price labels, product information tags and other communication media.
Review daily stock level on all products in his assigned area and recommends orders to the Shopkeeper.
Coordinates with Procurement Executive for information pertaining to stocks in his assigned area.
Customers
Meet the needs of customers by being understanding and sensitive to diverse customers, by initiating and developing effective working relationships with the customer and by establishing trust and confidence with the customers.
Determine the customers’ requirements and assist them in their orders
Maintain contact and advising customers on news or recently received items of customer’s interest or which have been reserved as well as following up on quotations sent in an effort to convert to actual sales.
Provide the highest level of Customer Service.
About You
To be successfully considered for this role, you must demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:
Minimum 4 years’ experience working in similar role (Preferable form Home and Decor)
High school
Experience in a multichannel retail environment
Proactive and flexible
Sales Driven
Customer focussed
Able to handle Complexity
Attention to Detail
Multitasking.
Excellent English Communication skill.
Good Analytical skills & Interpersonal skills
